Shraddha Kapoor is on cloud nine as her last two films Saaho and Chhichhore have done well at the box-office. She has received much praise for Chhichhore directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Now, she is all set for next film Street Dancer 3D directed by Remo D’souza. The film is in the post-production stage. Then she will start shooting for Baaghi 3 opposite Tiger Shroff. But there is one film that she couldn’t do just because of her hectic schedule.
Filmmaker Amol Gupte had signed Shraddha in the biopic of badminton champion Saina Nehwal. Shraddha was training hard for the film. Her first look from the film had been released and had created much interest among fans of the sports star Then suddenly Shraddha Kapoor opted out of the film. There were rumours that she had quit the film because she was not able to fit into the shoes of Saina.
Now Parineeti Chopra is playing the role. Shraddha cleared the rumours saying that she had to lose the film due to her health and date issues. She added she had no regrets losing this film. “I had to opt-out of it because Street Dancer came my way and it all boiled down to allotting dates, which was not possible. Remo sir had given me ABCD2, so there is no way I would say no to him. I loved the Street Dancer script. He has been my guru, so he plays a big part,” she explains.
She further added, “It would have been unfair for me to ask Amol to wait. I didn’t even ask. I got dengue and it got pushed. It was a choice to make and the choice was mine.”
